Atma.io, a platform that unlocks the power of connected products by assigning unique digital IDs to everyday items, has joined the broad list of The HBAR Foundation’s grantees. Through the recent grant, we aim to support transparency in the global supply chain.
Started as a digital venture within Avery Dennison, a governing council member of Hedera, atma.io was publicly launched on 17 March 2021. The platform is focused on providing end-to-end transparency by tracking, storing, and managing all the events associated with each individual product. atma.io has been managing all of a top shoe company’s digital identities since the launch. Furthermore, the platform has added billions of items since March 2021.
Impact of Grant
The HBAR Foundation’s support will help atma.io in the onboarding of new high-profile customers. With Avery Dennison’s strong existing portfolio of customers, our recent grant to atma.io will increase the overall transaction count on the Hedera Network. As trillions of packaged goods are being produced each year, our objective through the grant is to enhance the adoption of innovative tools in the global supply chain ecosystem.
Sustainability and Carbon Footprint Tracking
One of the key features of atma.io is that it has the ability to uniquely enable item-level carbon accounting. The platform can track carbon footprints across different segments, including apparel and food. The HBAR Foundation believes that carbon footprint tracking and accounting is important for a sustainable future.
