The HBAR Foundation is pleased to support the launch of Dropper’s gaming launchpad and marketplace on the enterprise-grade Hedera Network. Developed by Web3 payments platform Dropper, the new gaming NFT launchpad and marketplace will facilitate game developers, players, and streamers.
The launch will allow participants in the Dropper launchpad and marketplace ecosystem to take full advantage of the Hedera networks efficiencies. Hedera is carbon negative and operates at 10,000 TPS (throttled) whilst upholding the gold standard of security for a consensus algorithm - asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (aBFT).
Dropper aims to bring more of the gaming community to the Hedera ecosystem by giving them the tools and infrastructure to integrate Web3 technology into their digital experiences. By bridging the Web2 gaming community to Web3, The HBAR Foundation’s assistance for the launch of Dropper’s gaming launchpad and marketplace built on Hedera will increase the number of users on the network.
“Dropper is making it even easier to issue tokenized assets on the Hedera network and integrate these into new and existing business models”, said Alex Russman, Head of the Metaverse Fund at The HBAR Foundation. “We are excited to see the range of gaming communities Dropper will attract and introduce to Hedera’s technology.”
The Dropper NFT launchpad enables a wide range of participants in the gaming ecosystem, including developers, esports teams, players, streamers, and other gaming creators to launch NFTs with a no-code, automated solution. Dropper offers developers and publishers a suite of APIs to enable digital transactions inside their games. Moreover, Dropper has templated web tools to enable them to bring their NFT transactions not only inside their game but also to their web experience.
With a focus to support the gaming community, Dropper will launch by allocating millions of dollars in incentives to developers, esports teams, and players - as well as streamers who are deploying using the Dropper platform.
"Through this initiative, Dropper and The HBAR Foundation aim to help bring more AAA games and esports initiatives onto the Hedera network. Unlike other Layer 1 solutions like Ethereum and Solana, Droppers technology is designed to enable current Web2 game developers a simple solution to moving to on-chain transactions rather than building games from the bottom up” said Eric Faust, CEO of Dropper. “Gamers also care about the environmental concerns of blockchain technology” he said, “and Hedera is second to none when it comes to environmental efficiency.”
