We’re excited to announce our support of Hashstock 2022 - a celebration of the vibrant and growing NFT ecosystem on Hedera.
Since the launch of NFTs (HIP-17), configurable royalties (HIP-18), and standards (HIP-412 replacing HIP-10) the NFT community on Hedera has grown massively, with the Hedera network starting to see the beginnings of exponential usage of NFTs. You can read more in this Hedera blog.
Today, Hashstock is essentially a festival-themed networking collaboration, which gives all creators utilizing the Hedera network, the opportunity to come together and showcase their projects, whilst hopefully reaching a wider collective audience. Hashstock is a non-profit event, focussed entirely on adding value to individual projects and the network as a whole.
The idea came from a realization within the team at TRST (The Revolution Starts Tomorrow) that there exists a real sense of community amongst creators and developers on Hedera, one which could be harnessed to create something fun, united, and mutually beneficial.
TRST began approaching potential contributors and sponsors around one month ago, and the response was immediately positive. As more and more creators and projects joined Hashstock, more sponsors committed to supporting the concept, resulting in a self-perpetuating movement.
This year they are hosting the biggest NFT giveaway the Hedera community has seen - anyone is free to join via their ticketed event.
TRST has big plans for the future of Hashstock. With a keen interest in music (and music NFTs), and having already been approached by devs working on Metaverse projects, TRST is working towards creating the original art and music festival on Hedera.
